This is a great Adirondack birch bark sconce, has a primitive tin reflector on the interior, wire bail handle for hanging or carrying and a tin cap with small punched holes.
Plank board top and bottom with two leather straps on backside, could have been slid on to some type of stand for exterior lighting.
Most definitely one of a kind.
Probably was used with a small kerosene lantern as a candle flame would burn the birch bark, dating from the 19th century.
Measures: 20" to top of handle, 10" wide, 8" deep.

Price: $495.00
